As She Falls Asleep
Sometime in the early morning, one of my daughters come with a bad dream and they lie next to me. Sooner or later, they fall back asleep, sometimes facing away. When I see the long hair fall back behind their head, with a small ear and a little arm showing, I smile. If they fall back asleep while facing me, I see the closing eyes, the lips parted a little, and small breaths snoozing away. I smile.
